Images Don't Appear in Browser When Using AllegroSurf
On some computers images may appear missing when running through an AllegroSurf server. The problem is with Internet Explorer and Windows.
NOTE: AllegroSurf 6.0 has corrected this problem for many computers running Windows NT based OSs, including Windows NT, 2000, XP, and Server 2003. If AllegroSurf was having troubles and running on NT platform, please try AllegroSurf 6.0 or higher.
The solution is to either run ASClientSetup.exe from your client setup disk (made during installation or from the Programs Menu) or simply run ASClientSetup.exe over your LAN.
ASClientSetup.exe modifies the Windows registry to correct for this problem with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
ASClientSetup.exe basically sets the following registry entry to 4 a DWORD value:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\MaxConnectionsPerServer
