Basic Serv-U Setup

Once Serv-U is installed on your machine, network configuration is critical in ensuring users will be able to send and receive files to and from your Serv-U file server. Opening the correct ports and configuring port forwarding in any active routers and firewalls is very important so that traffic is directed to the correct place and not blocked from reaching its target destination. Below you will find tips for configuring a few basic network devices.

Although you can connect to Serv-U with both, most prefer to connect using an FTP client as it usually allows for better and more functionality. FTP Voyager is available for a FREE 30-day trial!
