FTP Voyager Turns 10; Windows Vista Support Added to RhinoSoft.com Suite of Products

(Helenville, WI) - RhinoSoft.com announced today new releases for their suite of products designed to help users leverage the power of the Internet. The updates add support for the highly anticipated new release of the Windows operating system, Windows Vista, among other enhancements and improvements.

In addition, January marks the 10 year anniversary of the first release of the award-winning FTP Voyager to the general public. Ten years ago this month, the revolutionary FTP client was released that emulated the look-and-feel of Windows Explorer built in to Windows 95. Changing the way people transferred files through the Internet, FTP Voyager offered drag-and-drop support that allowed users to treat their FTP transfers like they were manipulating files on their local computer. Since then, FTP Voyager has paved the way for more revolutionary FTP features such as folder synchronization, easy Folder Locking navigation, on-the-fly data compression, and SSL or SSH secured file transfers.

"FTP Voyager has come a long way over the last 10 years of development. What started as a way to demonstrate the power of the FtpTree ActiveX control to other developers has become an award-winning FTP client used by thousands of people and businesses throughout the world," said Mark P. Peterson, President of Rhino Software, Inc. and creator of FTP Voyager. "I'm very proud of the success FTP Voyager has become and we all appreciate the support and suggestions we've received from our customers over the years. Part of the reason FTP Voyager is the outstanding product it is today is due in no small part to our loyal customers."

The multi-language installer for FTP Voyager allows for FTP Voyager to be distributed in 7 different languages: English, German, Italian, French, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and new in version 14.0 - Japanese.

Complete release notes detailing the changes in the software releases can be found in the following locations:
