Serv-U now supports multiple protocols from FTP to SSH

Transfer Protocols
FTP & FTPS
The venerable and reliable File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is where it all started. Originally created to offer Internet users a reliable and simple method to transfer files between computers, the FTP protocol has been around for over 23 years. Over the past 15 years, Serv-U has become the industry's most popular FTP server guaranteeing compatibility with the majority of FTP clients on today's market. Serv-U has always been on the cutting edge of the FTP protocol with support for on-the-fly compression of data transfers, XCRC integrity checking, and MDTM file date/time modification support. In February 2002, Serv-U became one of the first FTP servers to implement SSL (Secure Socket Layer) secured FTP transfers. Using the same technology employed by web browsers for encrypted communications, this security is extended to the FTP protocol to ensure your FTP login credentials and transferred data is safe from prying eyes.
HTTP & HTTPS
Serv-U also offers support for the traditional HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP) commonly used to distribute web pages on the World Wide Web. Included with all Serv-U editions is the Web Client, a file transfer client usable by today's most popular web browsers to transfer files to and from a Serv-U File Server. Serv-U Gold also supports the SSL-secured variation of the protocol, HTTPS. When using HTTPS to login to Serv-U, both the Web Client and FTP Voyager JV also use HTTPS to secure your transferred data.
